Data Analyst Intern

Doing an internship at Homeloop will offer you the opportunity to try out various stages of the Data Analysis pipeline, from finding new data sources and cleaning them, to analysis and interpretation, to visualization and reporting. On top of that, you will have the opportunity to discover and implement some machine learning models, making this internship also a valuable first step in the world of Data Sciences.
Your mission at Homeloop will be diverse, possible tasks include: 
Continuous improvement of ATGV, one of our Automated Valuation Tools (in Python) predicting houses prices from numerous and diverse data.
Production of financial and risk management statistical analytics feeding the Homeloop Investment Committee.
Identification, analysis, and interpretation through statistical technics of trends or patterns in complex financial, market and urban data sets. Production of reports and visualisation describing your findings.
Enrichment, validation and maintenance of databases and data collection systems to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Under the supervision of the Data Science team, participation to the creation and the improvement of new machine learning based models to (i) forecast expected "Time on Market" for property (ii) automatically identify similar cities thanks to clustering approaches 
Requirements : 
Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using Excel or another statistical package for analyzing datasets.
Experience with Python or in an other programming languages and willingness to develop Python coding skills.
Knowledge of and experience with SQL databases.
Strong analytic skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail, critical thinking and accuracy..
Basic knowledge or strong interest in Machine Learning algorithms, concepts in feature extraction and selection.
Curiosity and creativity are great, even if you don't have much experience with Data Analysis (yet).
MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
